Digonera Historic Hotel
fromA vacation at the Digonera Historic Hotel means emerging oneself in the warmth of Ladin tradition and in the convivial spirit of the Bernardi family, who since 1938 welcome travellers from all over the world. It was built after the end of the First World War in the village which at the time was located on the borderline between Italy and Austria. The hotel was run by the same family for three generations. The Digonera is a fine hotel whose prime objective is to provide good service. Marina also takes this responsibility to heart Born in Riga, Lettonia, she has been living in the Dolomites for just a few years following marriage. During this time she has developed a great attachment to her mountain surroundings, in particular to the Monti Pallidi with their magnificent display of red and violet colourings at sunrise and sunset. Digonera is located just a few kilometres from Laste with whom it shares the same peaceful atmosphere and typical natural environment of an alpine village.

He bought the hotel, which had only two floors at the time, from his uncle Leone Ballis. The hotel is named after the village in which it is located. Over the years, the hotel has been renovated but has never lost its original atmosphere.Staying at the Digonera Historic Hotel means immersing yourself in the warm atmosphere of Ladin tradition and the convivial spirit of the Bernardi family, who have been welcoming travelers from all over the world since 1938.At the “Digonera” you can experience a vacation of pure well-being surrounded by the Dolomites: the peaks are always kissed by the sun and the unique color of the Dolomite rock provides a unique experience for all the senses. The “Monti Pallidi” shine like pearls in the sunlight, becoming evanescent: a spectacle that accompanies visitors throughout the day, not to mention the view of Monte Civetta that allows you to admire the sunrise and sunset thanks to the enrosadira, the phenomenon that dyes the peaks of shades ranging from red to purple, sitting comfortably in the front row.
